We keep this short and human on purpose. Here's exactly what we collect, what we do with it, and what we'll never do.
When you set up a Care Package year for your student, we collect the information we need to run the service — and nothing else. That means:
Guests who claim a month for your student give us their first name, last name, and email address so we can send them a shipping reminder.
We don't sell your data. Not to advertisers, not to data brokers, not to anyone. We also don't share it with third parties for marketing purposes — no partner lists, no cross-promotions, no surprises. Your information is used to run Care Package for your student's year, and that's it.
Student photos are stored securely on Cloudinary, an image hosting service used by thousands of companies. The only place your student's photo appears is on your student's own care package page — the one guests visit when they scan the QR code. It's never used for anything else.
We only email you about things you signed up for:
No spam, no daily newsletters, no promotional emails from third parties. If you ever want to hear less from us, just reply and let us know.
Payments are processed by Stripe, one of the most trusted payment platforms on the web. Card details are entered directly on Stripe's secure checkout — we never see or store your card information. All we get back from Stripe is a confirmation that the payment succeeded.
When someone claims a month for your student, we store their first name, last name, and email address for one reason only: to send them their monthly shipping reminder and a thank-you email after their package arrives. Guest information is never used for anything else and is never shared.
You can delete your account and all associated data at any time by emailing hello@carepackageapp.com. We'll remove your parent record, your student's page, any uploaded photos, and all guest claims tied to your account. This is permanent — once it's gone, it's gone.
